We administer the Woodcock Johnson test, which seeks to measure and identify learning disabilities, learning styles, intellectual abilities, and academic achievements. Special-needs testing consists of two tests, each running about 1½ – 2 hours in length. The first test measures verbal ability, thinking ability, and cognitive reasoning. The second test measures Reading, Oral Language, Mathematics, Written Language,  and Academic Knowledge (Science, Social Studies and Humanities).

When combined with other pertinent information, such as parental input regarding you child’s family, medical, educational, and social/behavioral history which we will ask you to provide, this test can be a very useful tool to help make decisions regarding educational and vocational planning.

The entire testing process consists of the following elements:

  • Pre-test Parent Conference
  • Administration of the test
  • Written report including test results
  • Post-test Parent Conference to discuss test results and recommendations will take a couple days.

A total of 4 hours testing, 5 hours scoring, report writing, and post test conference. The complete cost is $595.

If you have any additional questions about the test process, or would like to schedule a test, please contact Basic Skills by calling 503.650.5282 or completing the form below.
