Who We Are
Basic Skills was founded in the 1980s by Curt and Jenny Bumcrot, Christian educators, who recognized an increase in the home schooling movement but little support for those home schoolers. They started Basic Skills with the comittment to provide professional support and encouragement to those in the home schooling community. Basic Skills has expanded dramatically in the last twenty years, but the committment is still the same.
