Basic Skills aims to provide support and encouragement to those choosing to home school their children. In light of that goal, we have developed many services to help meet the needs of home schoolers: 

California Achievement Testing                                                The CAT, a standardized test, not only meets state requirements for home schoolers in Oregon, but will also provide valuable information about the educational level your student is working.  



Educational Products  

Test preparation tools, high school courses at home, and evaluation tools.



TRACKS                                                                               Regular advising, curriculum selection help, tracking, and accountability for students grades K-6.



Diploma Program                                                                Support and accountability as well as quarterly meetings and grade transcripting for students grades 7-12.



Privately Developed Plan and PDP Diploma Program                  An individaully developed plan that is cooperatively written by an academic advisor and the parent to address the educational needs of a child with special learning needs.



Independent Study                                                             

Allows students enrolled in a private school to complete course work at home.



Tutoring and Weekly School Supervision                          Available for all grade levels in most subjects.



Onsite Classes                                                                   Supplemental classes for grades 1-12 at our site in Oregon City.



Special Needs Testing                                                              Test for learning disabilities and to find out more about your child's learning style and academic strengths and weaknesses.
