Middle and High School Classes on the Westside
Middle and High School Classes at Basic Skills: Class Schedule 2008-2009
Classes at Basic Skills are intended to be supplemental to your home schooling efforts; thus, while you may find they help meet most high school graduation requirements, some courses may need to be completed at home.
Enrollment Information
Admission to classes at Basic Skills is by application only. To apply, follow these steps:
Class Size
Class size varies, though typical enrollment is between 10-17 students. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified by the teacher.
Attendance
Classes meet once or twice a week. Because of this, we will not observe some holidays, such as President's Day and Veteran's Day. Please refer to the School Calendar or call our office if you have any questions about class cancellations.
Tuition, Times, & Fees
Tuition: Varies, see class descriptions for details.
Times: Some classes do not follow the standard timeline. Please see class descriptions for starting and ending times.
Fees: Book or material/lab fees vary by course.
Textbooks
Textbooks must be purchased
before
the first day of class. Exodus Provisions (

) sells all the textbooks that Basic Skills uses. Parents are responsible to purchase textbooks, unless otherwise noted in the course description. All textbooks purchased at Exodus will receive a 5% discount if you mention Basic Skills classes at the time of purchase.
Fridays at Basic Skills offer a unique opportunity for elementary students, grades 1-6, to learn and socialize in a small group learning environment. Two classes will be offered: a primary class for students in grades 1-3, and an upper elementary class for students grades 4-6. Each class will be limited to fifteen students or less. Students will work together in math, English, and fine arts. The primary class will be taught by Jenny Bumcrot and the upper class will be led by Curt Bumcrot.
Tuition & Materials Fee:
