For local Diploma Program students, a complimentary nationally normed achievement test is provided in a group setting by Basic Skills. The test results are helpful for determining a student’s progress, choosing curriculum, and satisfying state home school requirements. The spring test schedule along with the name and phone number of the coordinator for each testing site is released each January. Indicate on the registration form that you are in our Diploma Program in order to not be charged. If a private test is preferred, the difference in cost will be required on the day of testing. Long distance students may also take this test, however they will need to secure a qualified test examiner (one who holds a state teaching credential or meets the publisher’s qualifications for who may administer theses tests). While there is no charge for shipping, scoring, and reporting test results, the cost for administering the test is the responsibility of the parent.
